Come and take my hand dear
I will take you away
up to the exosphere
for a night and day

I will show you our world
like you’ve never seen before
to where falling stars swirl
with the music you adore

come take my hand dear
I will take you to space
if its flying that you fear
then make that hold an embrace

The Space Race

So tell me one more time, lady of space
this game that we are playing,
would you call it a race?

If winning is your goal, fail not to dream
this pulsar that I’m holding
can bring out a stream

of wave that can lift you up
of power that can melt your heart
of thoughts that can woe your mind
of light that can burn you blind

This game that we are playing
why call it a race?
For I am here to walk beside you
with guiding embrace

Losing that something more

I keep my heart and mind in open
just in case something happens
we’ll never, never really know
we’ll never know where the wind would blow

I keep my eyes and lips tight shut
for i have learned to trust my gut
all these senses and mock pretenses
caused nothing but to build us fences

there’s more to life than what we want
there’s more to life than what we need
there’s something else like space and love
there’s something more than what we have

so try to keep an open heart
and try to keep an open mind
close your eyes, let darkness blind
until you see that all that binds us

is nothing but our love for dreaming
something that we all are losing…

Last Night

Last night I wanted to die
under the bright night-sky
I bared my soul and waited for
the scythe of sweet goodbye

But like the flowing of time
Death’s touch is too sublime
to be abused for wonder’s sake
and so I was declined

Yin and Yang

She fears the ocean’s deep unknown
he loves the midnight sky
She hates the night, he dreams of space
these things they cant deny

He craves for dim sum everyday
she’s sick of eating those
She’s always prompt, he’s always late
yet still they make things glow

These elements they spin so fast
two colors deep entwined
Two shades of different hues and thoughts
far minds, yet so aligned

She’s courtly, cultured, elegant
He’s reckless like a boy
His words are laced with eloquence
Her tactless words destroy

Two elements they spin so fast
two people deep entwined
Two destinies colliding for
a dream, both deaf and blind

Wake the wonders

This world is filled with poetry
swirling movements made of art
this world that boxes lazy dreams
deep inside our sleeping hearts

we’re meant to fly, yes you and me
but where to point? where to go?
which star to fly? which moon to land?
who to bring? with whom to grow?

questions…questions we failed to ask
our little selves when we were young
back then we knew the universe
its secrets written on our tongues

This world is filled with poetry
swirling movements made of art
let us unbox our lazy dreams
and wake the wonders in our hearts

This Light From Our Hearts

In this world which we know there exist such a glow
this one light that streams out from our hearts
not the gloomiest storm on its darkest form
can contain all the love it imparts

All the love it conveys, all the touch it relays
from this light that streams out from our hearts
neither gender or age or the cross with its cage
can contain all the love it imparts

Why not gather this light? we can end all the fight
all this fighting from where did it start?
not the mightiest bomb can unite or can calm
all these anger and woes in our hearts

If the world only sees what I see inside me
this one light that streams out from my heart
then perhaps it will learn to stop all its concern
to contain all the love it imparts

All the love we convey, all the touch we relay
to our love, to the one in our hearts
neither gender or age or the cross with its cage
can stop love or tear us apart

Its this light that streams out from our hearts

Of Souls and Stars

Don’t ignore
the subtle touches
of my words

Each hushed thought
portrayed by letters
of this world

Brings more than
just comfort or love
they bring soul

Every word
every thought and rhyme
my heart stole

from the world
is filled with pieces
of the sun

For I am
made of stars and will
burn as one

But for now
don’t ignore my words
cherish them

While I’m still
shining and glowing
sleep with them

I Own a Mind of Hues and Tones

Sometimes I feel like you forget
there’s more to me than skin and bones
I own a mind: a galaxy
of spinning, burning, hues and tones

With this I swim the deepest sea
With this I probe the farthest space
With this I cross life’s line and then
experience death with sensual grace

My mind, these thoughts: my rocket ship
with mileage ticking each light year
traversing black holes, comet trails
exploring novae without fear

This mind it taught me how to fly
it taught me how to break the wall
so that the saddest song may glow
and lift all stars before they fall

There’s more to me than skin and bones
I own a mind of hues and tones

Motion Play

So this is how it feels to be
relying on your own device
alone and cold without your sun
you spin and twist, you fall and rise

you feel no waves yet your gut churns
a rollercoaster ride of doom
you function only just to think
about the darkness, cold, the gloom

I do not follow this dark fad
in fact i strive to free my light
i am just taking this one chance
to grab this feeling so i might

experience it to full effect
a logical approach you see
just like a kid with lego blocks
i’ll break these feelings down for me

Through block by block i’ll separate
carefully my dimmed emotions
I’ll study what it does to me
This gloom we call depression

To Live and Earn

It will not hurt to take a moment and
fill all them chewing gums with air
we live our nights and days, no dawns or dusks
no time to rest, to watch and stare

Our aim is true yet we forget the world
hey love, I know our dreams can’t wait
but we can do both if we play it right
I promise you, we won’t be late

We need to pause once in a while
so we don’t crash, so we don’t burn
the world is here let’s take our time
we’re missing wonders on each turn

It will not hurt to stop and sing a song
or take our time to smell the night
we don’t race time for we will always lose
let’s just immerse ourselves with light

We need to pause once in a while
so we don’t crash, so we don’t burn
the world is here let’s take our time
let’s aim to live, not just to earn

I will be forever singing songs,
forever in wanderlust mode,
with my car window open, whistling,
to the chorus of the road.
A pocket poetry about wanderlust
Not a single day,
passes without me thinking,
how lucky I am.

A haiku about beautiful mornings

like a love hungry girl, my belly clings
to my perfect body, making it fat
Pocket poetry about flabby tummy (or: fat is not ugly my lady!)
Chasing rain, like chasing their fear filled prey
they bark, night wolves thundering rain away
Pocket poetry about rain and thunder
